May 3, 2021 We have an exciting opportunity for a Data Scientist, to join our team based in the UK. The appointed person will be responsible for leading our IT team in supporting our engineering team and product managers.
This role offers a fantastic opportunity for someone to solve some tough business problems, join a high performing team, and to contribute directly to the expansion of our revenue opportunities via contributing to the evolution our signature Cloud Platform.
Responsibilities :
► Engage with data science team, and with Chief Scientist
► Relate to front-end development team
► Analyse current technologies used within the company and determine ways to improve the platform
► Manage the day-to-day relationship with our 3rd party software development team and software vendors
► Work with product managers to identify and isolate issues in the software platform
► Ensure the delivery of maintenance releases and support updates to customers.
The successful candidate will have :
► Knowledge of modern Computational Statistics and Machine Learning algorithms (specifically, Supervised Classification and Regression, neural networks, reinforcement learning)
► Previous experience with relevant software, such as Python, (Py)Torch, TensorFlow, Keras
► The drive to push the boundaries of what machine learning can do: specifically, the ability to develop new solutions, or modify and go beyond existing techniques and methods in ML
► BSc/MSc/PhD in a relevant area (Maths, Stats, Comp Science), or equivalent experience.
Preferred Skills :
► Previous experience of designing, programming, and integrating advanced machine learning algorithms real SW products, including experience in Software Engineering
► Basic knowledge of databases, cloud-based computing and server-side technology, SW security, agile SW development and testing /quality assurance, source code control and CI Systems (i.e. GitHub, Bitbucket, Stash, Jenkins etc.)
► Acquaintance with data curation, wrangling, processing
